Tuning in from the Outer World

This series has just begun and currently includes two completed works. Both reveal a strong stylistic inspiration drawn from the engravings of Albrecht Dürer, reinterpreted through a distinctly contemporary sensibility. In particular, “The Artist, Death, the Devil and Other Teachers” establishes an explicit conceptual dialogue with “The Knight, Death and the Devil”, transforming its Renaissance iconography into a personal meditation on the role of the artist and the symbolic forces that shape his path. The other works arise more freely from the artist’s imagination: visionary landscapes interwoven with esoteric messages, mystical themes, traces of psychedelia, and fragments of lived cultural experience.

A deep passion for the European Renaissance permeates these new works by Masci, where meticulous line-work meets visionary imagination. Historical memory and contemporary tension converge within a dense symbolic fabric, fusing devotion to craft with speculative inquiry.
