Garbageboldo

Garbageboldo — a playful fusion of garbage and Arcimboldo — is a series of two pen drawings inspired directly by the Renaissance master known for composing faces out of vegetables, fish, and everyday objects.

In these works, faces emerge from heaps of trash, transforming refuse into portraiture. The drawings are both a tribute to Arcimboldo’s inventiveness and a sharp ecological commentary, confronting the reality of pollution in our modern world.

Through Garbageboldo, the grotesque and the whimsical collide, inviting reflection: how do we see ourselves, our consumption, and the traces we leave behind?
