To each his own
To Each His Own is an unusual and intriguing series of pen drawings on paper, whose story I prefer to leave shrouded in a veil of mystery.
Within these works, cells become inhabited by strange, whimsical entities. Each nucleus exchanges information, interacts with others, and slowly gives rise to an intricate, almost surgical choreography. From this cellular salad emerge planets, viruses, beings resembling mitochondria, and forms recalling both female organs and marine mollusks — a universe simultaneously microscopic and cosmic.
This body of work stands apart from my usual practice, reflecting the unusual circumstances of my life at the time. It is a meticulous, exploratory journey — one where observation, imagination, and the inner life converge into forms both unexpected and enigmatic.
