This page gathers the most significant portraits I created between 2006 and 2015. My passion for portraiture has always been immense, but until that period, I lacked the technical skills that could satisfy me.

After arriving in New York, my technique progressed exponentially. Looking back now, I feel deep satisfaction: these portraits are profound, playful, monumental, human, and communicative.

The subjects are varied — from my friend and performer Penny Arcade, to my esteemed artist friend Aldo Tambellini, to my close friend, colleague, and source of inspiration Carlo Maria Mariani, to the Beat poet Ira Cohen, along with many other friends, acquaintances, and commissioners.

Even though over the years I have developed a personal, imaginative, and symbolic style in my compositional painting, portraiture remains my specialty — a field in which I feel second to no one.
