Francesco Masci

BIO

Francesco Masci is an artist and graphic designer who has shown extensively in Italy, in both group and solo exhibits. Born in Rome, he has lived in Florence and Elba; he currently resides in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Masci's solo credits include “La verità del paradosso, Il paradosso della verità,” at the avant garde cultural space of Cantieresanbernardo , Pisa and a show of paintings at the MUWO (Multimedia Workshop) of Rome. Group show credits include “I neonrealisti,” at the Mondrian Suite Gallery, Rome (widely documented by the Italian press) and Francis Naumann Gallery's “The Damoiselles Revisited,” commemorating the 100-year anniversary of Picasso's Les Demoiselles d'Avignon--to which Masci contributed a new work on the theme. This was Masci's first participation in an American venue. As a political cartoonist, in previous years, Masci's work has appeared regularly in such Italian publications such as Il Tempo and La Piazza, and his graphic design work has been commissioned by the Italian sports concern CONI (Comitato Olimpico Nazionale Italiano), among many other clients. His mural designs have been commissioned by private clients in Rome. Since arriving in New York, he is concentrating solely on fine art projects.
